In Bethlehem this one of my Mom's and my favorite Chinese Take-out places. Service is fast and the owners' sons are both nice guys. Something about the food taste better, it is not overly salted and full of msg. I love the vegetables that come with their dishes too, they are not drenched in sauces like other places. Although if you asked, maybe they would add more, but honestly the food is good how it is. They have good wonton soup and awesome mixed meat and veggie soup, my mom usually orders that one though. You will find many of the menu options similar to other take out places too so it won't be too foreign.

I usually order chinese food from here. Today I called in for a delivery and the man on the phone was exceedingly rude and nasty, refused to listen to me trying to explain where the delivery was going, and also refused to give the phone to someone else so I could speak to them instead of him. They just lost all my business.

Years ago, this was our "go-to" place for delicious Chinese. Whether eat-in or take-out, it was the best in the area. We were in the Bethlehem visiting some fellow Lehigh alums this weekend ... our first impulse? Lok-Yuan. We drove over (mistake #1). The area is slightly more out-of-control than in previous years. These skinny, tattooed, cracked-out fools were hanging out in front of the building. I tried to maneuver my car so that I would be able to see it while we were eating. (Yeah, it was that kind of night). When we entered, we noted that the fish-tank was half-drained and the water was dark brown. This was a huge red-flag. The once beautiful fish-tank looked like a science experiment. And, as we turned the corner, we were greeted with a dining room COVERED in cardboard boxes. Not like ten or twenty ... HUNDREDS! All liquor boxes, cut-down for take-out orders. Over 1/4 of the dining area was unusable. We were the only customers in the place. We waited a few minutes ... two of the cracked-out locals came in, being loud and unintelligible. We continued to wait: watching our car, slightly worried for our safety. After seven minutes, no one visited our table. We exchanged a knowing glance, and left. I cannot imagine what happened in the last two years since our graduation. It is so soul-crushing to see this once fantastic establishment (for yummy food) crushed under a mountain of boxes and invaded by crackheads. You probably shouldn't visit Lok Yuan. If anything, order delivery (but their range is pretty small). But that fish tank, those boxes, ect. ... well, they are pretty haunting.

BEST CHINESE FOOD! I used to live close by on Cherokee St and my husband and I would get food delivered all the time! It's not much to look at from the outside but the food is the best! We moved away about 5 months ago and tried 3 different Chinese take outs and they were just horrible. So long story short. We now travel about 20 mins just to get food here! Completely worth it and would recommend to anyone and everyone!

This is my Chinese take-out/delivery place of choice. The food is just sooooo yummy! The vegetable dumplings are delicious. They taste just like the ones I had in China. Everything is quite reasonably priced, and they have a very extensive menu. Oh, and if you spend at least $15, you get a free pork fried rice, which is nice.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
